
Breakfast is often my WORST meal of the day because I don’t want to eat normal breakfast cereals, because they have heaps of ‘nasty’s’ in them…
So yesterday one of my favourite health-foodies @roz_kelly shared her ‘clean muesli’ and I tried it out! OH MY WORD it was delicious. I added a few extras and here you have it – thanks Roz… This muesli, along with my Green Nutribullet Juices, will be my staple breakie from now on!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw oats
- ½ cup chai seeds
- 1 cup mixed nuts – I added almonds and macadamia nuts
- ½ cup coconut shavings
- 1 heaped tablespoon coconut oil
- Put this all on a baking tray or big dish – and cook for about half an hour on 180°C or until it is all roasted and deliciously brown.
- Toss it a few times...
- Take it out to cool
- Then I added: 1 cup puffed millet (super high protein grain, available at most health stores) ¾ cup dried cranberries I then ate a big bowl of it with plain yoghurt and a dollop of raw honey!
